Aneri obtained her BSc in Biodiversity and Ecology in 2017 from Stellenbosch University, where she was introduced to a broad range of topics related to the natural environment. She then decided to broaden her knowledge even further by enrolling for an Honours degree in Environmental Management through the University of South Africa, which she completed in 2019. Aneri enrolled in the DST-NRF internship programme and working at FRC will be her first proper introduction to the fascinating world of freshwater science. She has always had a great passion for the outdoors and has been exposed to many different aspects of the environment due to her attending various university fieldtrips and her keen interest in hiking, diving, animals, and horse riding. Aneri hopes that her time with FRC, coupled with her university education and interests, will guide her in the right direction with regards to eventually pursuing a MSc degree.
